Now-a-days many complain of thyroid problems. I do not know why. I thing with regular medication, it can be kept under control.

I actually have an appointment to have this checked and tested. I was telling my doctor that I was packing on weight very rapidly and no matter what I do I cannot lose it. I also feel very tired all the time, I just don't have the energy I had a year ago. It is getting to the point where it is interferring in all aspects of my life. I struggle to keep up with my kids, housework, my schooling, even my husband. If it isn't my thyroid causing these issues then I am at a total loss! I have heard it can be hereditary--not 100% positive about that. My uncle was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. His doctor told him it was a miracle he even made it through school. I just hope to get these symptoms of mine resolved and treated.

I've already had surgery to remove 2/3rd's of my thyroid, due to a nodule. It did turn out to be cancerous. The remaining part of it is still functioning well enough that I don't need medication. But now they've discovered the remaining 1/3rd has a growth on it, too. So now it's a wait and see game. I wish they would've just removed it all while they were there. I hate the idea of another surgery!
