Mine is the San Diego Padres. I started off as a Seattle Mariners fan as a kid cuz I was a fan of Ken Griffey Jr, but I started following the Padres because I've lived in San Diego for all of my life, and after Griffey and A-Rod parted from Seattle, I stopped following the M's on a regular basis.

I'm definately a Giants fan. I've lived in the Bay Area virtually all my with that brief G year stint in Davis for college. But that's still NorCal. Among other teams, I am a fan of the Padres too unless of course they're playing the Giants or are in a ployoff race with them. I like them because Tony Gwynn is one of my all time favorite players. What a class act.

Ted Williams - photo of Boston Red Sox left fielder Ted Williams in his famous batting stance.
I have been a Red Sox fan since before I was born.....or so my mother used to tell me. That means I have been a fan for over 70 years. I love being a member of the "wait til next year" gang. But we finally made it a couple of years ago. When I was in school in Boston in the 50's I went to see lots of games. I remember the last time Ted Williams came to bat in the 7th inning which was his last game in Fenway Park. He let the first pitch go by for a call strike; he let the second pitch go by the 2nd call strike; and the third pitch he hit into the right field stands for a homerun. The crowd went wild. They gave him a standing ovation for 15 minutes. He came out of the dugout 3 or 4 times. Play was stopped. Some said he tipped his cap on the third time (but he later denied it). Had he done it it would have been the first time in I don't know how many years. He had a big run-in with the Boston sports writers and refused to do it at any time. That's why it was significant had he done it. After Lou Gehrig I think Ted Williams was the best baseball player ever...he was certainly the king of the sluggers and he is/was the last .400 hitter. I met Johnny Pesky, the shortstop who once blew the World Series, at a friends house. He is a great guy.

Phillies - Here is a picture of me when I was a child with Mike Schmidt, the Hall of Fame third basemen of the Phillies back in the days.
I am a Philadelphia Phillies fan and have always been a Phillies fan. My parents and my grandfather used to take me to games when I was really young. I love them like crazy and have a good feeling about their chances this year as they have improved their starting pitching and have excellent hitting and defense. Now that the Eagles season is over the Phillies are what Philly fans are looking forward to most right now.

Mine is the New York Mets. They just got a load of new guys that are good! I am a big fan of David Wright not the fact that i play third base myself.

Cleveland... I grew up there. They are the only baseball team I cheer for. I'm not really into baseball enough to know anything about other teams. So I guess you could just say it's hometown loyalty.

Definitely the Cardinals. Albert Pujols is one of the best alround players ever, the numbers speak for themselves.
