I do, his name is Gizmoe. Hes cute and funny! They are such characters! They get depressed very easily though, but are very social animals! Does anyone here own one? I put a pic of gizmoe up on my profile if you all want to check it out.

they mostly jump around and will play "catch me if you can" games...but every chinchilla is different, it really depends on the chinchilla. Cant believe you havent heard of anyone owning a chinchilla! where are you from?

no i do not own a chinchilla but you do lol. But anyways yes i agree with the whole depression on the fluffy creatures. They just get so lonely and have nothing but their fur, and their fat. but thats ok, a chinchilla is a chinchilla.

He's really cute! I don't have a chinchilla but have always wanted one. I heard they are easy to maintain. They're adorable little animals.

they are very fair creatures! you got to keep them in a cool climate which is perfect for me, i hate the heat, and so do they. But boy what a personality they can possess! I swear...

I will have to come see him when we're in town next. I didn't know you had one. That's cool! I can't access your page for some reason but I'll try again.

I used to have a chinch! He looked like yours and his name was Peppy (for reasons that would be obvious to you!). We just had fun watching him run around because the cat, wondering what the heck that was that just raced passed by him, would trot over to see where he went. And as little Peppy ran across the room, bounced off of the couch, and the wall, then headed straight back at the cat ("Yikes!", the cat would say!), then would make like a 90 degree turn right in front of him and keep scampering along on his merry way! Oh, what fun that was! Thanks for the memories! Aloha!

What a coincidence! I have two chinchillas and one of their names in Gizmo too, but without the "e" at the end. Yes they are very social animals and they get lonely very quickly. They love to see me when I get home from work. They make the best pets and they're very loyal animals.

aww I had a chinchilla called Tobermorey, He was absolutely gorgeous, unfortunately I had him when I didnt have a digital camera so no pics of him. He had a problem with his teeth, the vet had to keep putting him to sleep to file his teeth down but he just got iller and iller and in the end, vet said its best to not bring him round again. I would love to have another chinchilla, I think they're an ideal pet and I WILL persuade hubby to let me have another when my son is a little older. Lovely picture by the way

I don't own one but I've always wanted one, as well as a ferret. I've liked them since I saw them in a pet shop as a child. I didn't know they got depressed easily, how do you cheer them up?
