can lying be considered correct certain times??

lie is a lie, whether white or whatever color it is, still it's a lie. do something good by lying? maybe cover up something by not telling the truth, that in our mind is like saving something or someone. Maybe for a short time, something good(that we think) comes but in a long period, truth will prevail and what we thought was good was never, in reality. Lying has no other definition.

lying may well be a sinful act, but if it is to protect someone from getting badly hurt it has got to be a good thing too, hasnt it?

I always believe in life that honesty is the best policy. and that if you lie once, you have to lie hundred or even more times to cover that lie. and so you get caught in a vicious circle. I always believe that telling lie to save someone ( mostly oneself i feel in reality ) is a bad thing to do. and to say that it is acorrect thing to do is just trying to fool yourself. it is like trying to please yorself by making your stand but in your hearts of hearts you will no that it is not correct. One who has clear conscience and listens to inner voice knows that speaking lies is never a good thing. and one who speak lies is honest with their self will know that they feel guilty that is why they want to tell themselves they are doing right thing. Besides when we speak truth we might get in difficulty or face problems like i have had but in long run the satisfaction one gets of having achieved with his moral values upheld is great feeling.

Lying to save someone? I think it is not the solution to save or protect someone. Why would it be a sin if it can do good things? I don't think lying can be considered correct even at certain times. It is not acceptable. I am not saying that I never lie but I'm asking God's help not sin again and again. Lie is a lie, it can't be changed.
