My husband just came home from work. I said what are you doing home so early. He replied they sent me home. Thats what they do. I never saw this kind of behavior its like he is a child and the teacher sent him home. So I said what happened. He got into an argument with another employee. The manager came out and said both of you go home, without even asking what the problem was. Here I am with a miserable husband all afternoon.

Oh no your poor Husband Personally I would say a proper Manager should have looked into the Problem to find out what it was all about and then speak to both Parties how to resolve it As for sending them Home how is that going to resolve it When I was a Manager I always had Staff arguing I certainly did not send them Home I looked into in the Problem Your Husbands Manager does not have very good Management Skills there

Maybe you should embrace the fact that you have some more time with your husband instead of complaining about it? I don't know, call me crazy.. but it seems to me if my husband was sent home from work I would be all over it. Secondly, whoever replied and said "more companies should do that to resolve conflict", is a moron. That's not how you go about resolving conflict, and if thats YOUR way of doing it... you probably don't have the best relationships.

The arguing should of been done elsewhere, and I suppose the boss has a place to run if it was disturbing the other employees or clients he had a good reason to do what he did, otherwise he should of gotten more involved before making such a harsh decision.

All men are children. We have to mother them for some reason. They are like that until they are old, it never changes.

Oh my I know about a cranky hubby being sent home from work! I am sorry you had to deal with it. I know that mine gets sent home because they do not really have that much for them to do. But then the other day he was sent home because they cancelled a class... it is so silly. I hope it worked out for the best!

That happened to me once before. I had sent an email to a higher up about my pay cause my boss was on vacation and when she came back the guy who I emailed had called her back about it and she flipped out on me and sent me home. I thought that was so ridiculous. Like what the hell did you want me to do? The email was about my pay which I take very seriously since they seem to f*ck it up all the time.

Many employers have a zero tolerance rule. They don't want any outbursts and if they see it happening will automatically send the person(s) home, no questions asked.

That is odd that can they do that. Usually companies wnat to solve problems so production will not lag. I have never had an argument with another co-worker, so I have no idea what they would do at my work if that happened. Where does your husband work? I think I would have to take that up with upper management. How can anyone make a living when you are sent home because of an argument. A fight I understand , but not a disagreement.

I don't want to seem harsh,BUT I was a supervisor, and arguments in the work place can't be tolerated. His boss could have been more severe by writing him up and making an official reprimand. He chose to send them home and probably hoped they would take that time to cool off.

wow, more work places should do this. I bet there would be less confrontation on the job. I hope you can enjoy your afternoon.
