Has anyone ever caught a possum by hand before?

No, but my friend has one that keeps getting into her house and we can't figure out how, does any one know how to get rid of them with out killing it?

Catch it either by throwing a blanket over it to make it play possum or grab its tell and pull it up off the ground and shake a little so he cant attack you and then put him in a box or something and let him loose a ways from your home.

I will try that, is there something, you can put out to keep them from coming in? We have no idea how they are getting in.

Opossums have no sense of humor whatsoever and do not like to be caught. Just ask my husband. However they love dry cat food and will grow to be very, very large if they have access to a bowl of it.

No I have not but, we had a screen in porch that we would go out on nice summer nights and a pair of them got in and make themselves at home in one of the chairs lol...we left them and left the door ajared couple of days and they moved out lol ...

If they hang from trees upside-down like they do in cartoons can you just pick them off like apples?

I have held one that was caught in a live trap before it was a young one .Later we released it in the woods so it would not be in danger nor bother humans .
