The New Season of the Apprentice (Los Angeles)

United States
January 8, 2007 11:26am CST
The new season of The Apprentice started last night on NBC, where some twists were thrown out. These included the losing team sleeping in tents, and the winning project manager not only remaining the manager for the next week, but also getting to sit in as someone in the boardroom. What do you think of the new format? ARe you excited about this season? Any early favorites among the candidates?

i watched it just few seconds ago and i'm surprised - i honestly think that the previous format of Apprentice was way better than this one - the redesigned it a bit but changes made it worse. I don't even mention the poeple there...

Well I guess time will tell which format is better, but I hope that the show continues to succeed!

I'm so disappointed that I missed it. I think they air the show on CNBC too, though, right? They really did need to change it up a bit. It was getting a bit boring.

Yeah they do, and partial episodes on NBC.com as well if I remember correctly.

I love the apprentice, they had the last season on a bit late at night but i'd stay up all hours of the morning to watch it! It's just fantastic, can't wait for the new season to air over here..:)

Donald Trump - The Apprentice
I honestly cannot stand Trump. He drives me crazy. While I have seen a few episodes of the various seasons, and to be honest I did enjoy them too, I just can't stand HIM long enough to watch it! lol

I absolutely hated Frank and Martin(?). Though I'm glad to see Martin as the first to go, I kind of wish it was Frank. Something about his personality drives me nuts. Please don't quote me on names. I'm not 100% sure I used the correct names. I don't have any favorites yet. We'll see as the show continues. I kind of look forward to seeing it on Sunday though.

Yeah I agree... it is too early to pick favorites, but I think this is going to be a good season!

i didnt like the new format, making the losing team sleep in tents and then mocking them was cruel on the donald's part.the losing team will not feel fresh and hence they will perform badly.the winning project manager staying the PM,will not give other people a chance to excel.and also she will be biased when she comes to the board room. my favorites are heidi and surya.

You are right on with a lot of your assesments here. There could be some really big advantages to not sleeping outside...lol

This is the first time for me watching The Apprentice but so far I am liking it very much and wish that I had started watching it much sooner. I like the current format they have now but can not compare it to the old since I did not watch it before. I think it is neat that the project manager of the winning team gets to sit in on the losing teams boardroom meeting. The winning team last night got to meet with Arnold Scwharzenegger so that had to be even more thrilling for them. I was glad that Muna got fired last night as she was annoying.

They need to move The Apprentice back to Thursday nights because I have a hard time staying awake to watch it on Sunday evenings. I've seen every episode from Season One up until now. Thank goodness we can view the episodes online.

I only saw a part of it :( Unfortunately no one reminded me it was starting! Someone's in trouble for that ;) Anyway, I did see the part where he announced the losers have to live in a tent! I love that and think it will really show if the "haves" can do better than the "have nots". I missed the part about the winner sitting in the boardroom, I like that! Basically, I like twists and turns of any sort, and I will really watch this season. I can't pick a favorite yet since I missed the first task, but usually I can't tell til at least a few shows in.

I watched the new episode last night and honestly felt two people should have gone home, as both of them really did a poor job. A project manager shouldn't have to work that hard to save himself, unless he really has done something wrong. I certainly wouldn't hire either one, as time is money and these two wasted a lot of time. The team that won worked very well together and I see them winning next week again. This should be the last season, as I expect the ratings to be even lower next week.

I had grown a little tired of "The Apprentice", but decided to give it one more chance. I was glad I did. The new changes are great...love the tent city. Only 1 episode, so it's hard to pinpoint 1 person just yet, although Heidi (the winning project manager), seems very good. Looking forward to the rest of the season

So far, this season is definitely better than the past couple. It's nice to see The Donald go back to basics with the first task, instead of having the teams complete tasks for a large company :D Glad to see Martin go, though I'll admit, Frank was starting to get on my nerves as well. This season looks great!

Not really sure I like it this time around. I think the old shows were better. If it ain't broken don't fix it should be what they went by. It's ok to have it in LA but I do miss New York. I don't like how they have to sleep outside until they win. I think that is dumb. Seems kinda childish if you ask me. I guess we will just have to wait and see though.

Ya i love this show. I didnt see it yesterday though. But yes this is interesting. The new twists make it somewhat worse in my opinion becuase they change the show we know and love.
