Many people have an issue with being on time. Then, there are people that usually do not have a problem being on time but may find themselves falling into the trap of being late for various events in their lives. I am usually the type of person that arrives early to events, but I will never forget the one week at work where it seemed I was late for everything. It was very uncharacteristic of me, so, I raised some concern but did not get into any trouble. I decided after that long week that I would rearrange some things in my life to ensure that I would never experience that issue again. In this article, I will be offering some effective tips on being punctual that you can follow to ensure that you are never late again. One of the things that I do to ensure that I am punctual is I now move the time up on my watch and all the clocks in my home. I would much rather be early than late. At first, I was consciously aware of the fact that my watch was set up and that it was actually earlier than my time said, but after a while, I got used to my time and started to forget that it was earlier than it stated was. Now, that I have developed the habit of following the time as I set it on all my watches and clocks, it is habit. This is one of the main ways that you can ensure that you are being punctual. Another thing that helped me to ensure that I was being punctual was to place clocks throughout my home in various locations. This would help to remind me of the time so that I could move throughout the home more efficiently and get to where I needed to be and when I needed to be there. Another thing that I have found that helps to be more punctual is to avoid using clocks that have more than one setting for an alarm and have a snooze button. My clock has a setting where you can set two different alarms and it has a snooze feature. I find that it is better to just set one alarm and get up when that alarm goes off. I do have one backup alarm clock that is battery powered in case something happens to the electricity throughout the night. This will help you be punctual too. It is a good rule of thumb to try to arrive at least fifteen minutes early to everything. This will ensure that you are always on time. In addition, if you run into any interruptions on your way somewhere, like a train or a car accident, you will still arrive on time. You should always plan in this manner to ensure that you are making the most out of your time. There is a saying that I once heard on the internet that went something like "It is better to be an hour early than a minute late". If you keep that in mind and use the tips listed here, you can ensure that you are always punctual.

Good tips. I've been setting my clocks/watches 10 minutes ahead for longer than I can remember. A simple trick, but it works for me. And I always try to allow extra travel time. If there's a bus or train I can catch that will get me to an appointment almost exactly on time, I'll catch the one before (within reason) so that if something goes wrong (traffic, etc.) I should still arrive at the appointment on time.
