if you collect and put together all the things thay you really have no use for in your house how much do you think you will earn. Personally I think I will get over a thousand dollars. (US) It's amazing how much I have collected and have really no use for but are still saleable. Have you ever thought of doing it? What are few of the things you have in mind?

Wow! that much? From where I come from that's more than what a person can earn in a year. That's a lot of money.Glad for you.

you may find this difficult to believe but it's true. Basic wage for laborers are that low and they don't even work in a per hour basis like in the US. I just checked my figures out and found that for some it's even lower.

Actually, it always surprises me how much I make at our yard sales. I have five kids, so things tend to get collected more than I'd like. They outgrow their clothes, their toys, their teddy bears ... and I'm a horrible packrat, lol. So every summer we go through the house and get rid of anything that hasn't been touched in more than 6 monthes. And each time we make a few hundred dollars.

Do you know that there are some people who make this yard sale thing a full time job and permanent source of income? It is a sort of clearing type of business only in a much smaller scale. They talk to friends and some people and offer their services to clean up their place for them or even offer to buy their unused items by lot. Then put up a sale right in their friends residence. They will always find some people who are so pre occupied with their jobs and just don't have the time nor the energy to do a yard sale.

I could see it, it's an interesting approach. My ex boyfriend, a bunch of years back, would go to yard sales all over the city and buy things underpriced, then sell them at his own for a little more than he paid. It's interesting the creative ways people have to make a few bucks.
