Clothes that last?

January 9, 2007 2:25am CST
I'm very pick about clothes, as i am with pretty much everything. So finding something that i like is a miricle! But of course within a couple of months i've worn it to death. Is there a clothes brand that you like which lasts?

Might sound boring - but I swear by good old Marks and Spencer for sweaters, and underwear, John Lewis for basics, and Monsoon for fashion/evening wear etc. As long as those 3 shops are in the High Street, I am happy:-))

That's not boring! I got two lovely fashion pieces from Marks and Spencers the other day, they are a lot more fashionable now and i love Monsoon too.

I had a pair of Esprit shorts which I'd worn for 8 years and it cost only US$30. I'm not sure if this brand is available in your country but I have seen shops in Australia and Hong Kong. Recently, the fabric around the hem began to shred and I finally threw it away. I've got myself a new pair of esprit capri pants and I hope it can last as long as its 'predecessor'.

Yes we have Esprit, 8 years for a pair of shorts is great!

i have not so keen on branded clothes..but if you want it last a little longer..you have to washed it in a mild soap and dont let it hang outside where the sun is on peak...

I think that gap clothing tends to last for a good time. They can go through the wear and tear of washing frequently. I also think that levis is also very good. I would say levis is the best lasting.

When I buy clothes, I like to make sure that they will last me awhile.
