If hit and run is illegal, why do you want to find the person? Turn it over to the police and your insurance company. You have a witness. Get a written statement from your witness, and have it notarized. There is an expression that says "Don't write a check you can't cash." In other words, don't go chasing after this person to try and extract your own justice.

You Assume a lot StarBright. Actually, I wanted to give the person a chance to settle without going through the hassels of Insurance companies, Yes, I am insured, but don't know the story on him! I am not a Vindictive person, Just Fair and Honest about the Real World. To do it myself takes less time and money in the end for both parties, as Experience has Taught me !

You are right. Please accept my apology. In your position, I would be very angry. It has been my experience that anyone who hits and runs does so to avoid taking responsibility for his actions. I think it is quite admirable of you to try and settle this amicably. I hope your person appreciates it. I wish you well.

Thank you for your apology, Very nice of you to say! I think you are right in saying that people 'Run' to accept responsability, which is a shame, but sometimes people think things are Worse than they really are and deserve a chance. If this person dosen't appreciate where I am coming from, then the Law takes care of it for Me. I really like your avatar, I have a set of Polar Night pics on my PC, Beautiful. Have a nice day!
