Child Marriages

Child marriages are now outlawed in India, but there are stories of some marriages still occurring at places. Why do they occur? Poor families probably follow tradition. Maybe deciding on a life partner early on removes the stress on the parent of the girl child to find a good match later on. Maybe it reduces promiscuity, if the girl already has a life partner on hand. I do not really know why some families find it a good choice! What is your opinion?
