antique stein maker/info

i have in possesion a german beer stein, markings underneath says made in 1821,the is a M and what looks could be a C or a cresent shape. There is also the letter M over an R in what looks like a sort of sheild shape.The lid is pewter or silver, with DBGM, the number 63 and what looks like an S with an R in the top part of the S and an M in the bottom curl of the S. The picture on the stein is of a man dancing near a lady. The colour is a darkinsh blue but the white comes through the glaze. i was hoping to find out who is the maker, and if it is worth anything.
