I want to get married!!!

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost nine years, we have two children together and are very much in love and we have a wonderful relationship. The only thing is, he will not ask me to marry him!!??? I dont know why, he says that marrige is overrated and why spend sooo much money on a wedding when we are already together and we will always be together!! I love him and want to make it offical!! What should I do??

Does he know how you feel? Does he understand how important it is for you to be married? If he completely understood he may change his mind. It's a difficult situation for you to be in. I hope you can find some way to work it out.

He knows how I feel, I dont think that he knows however, how bad I really want to get married!! Thanks for your response!!

Maybe you could propose to him? Even suggest a vegas wedding or something else that isn't flashy or expensive? It is modern times and their is nothing wrong with the woman proposing - that way you don't have to wait around for him! Good luck, and you know what? Either way you're lucky. Not everyone has a marriage last that long (like my dad) none the less a relationship!

Thank you!! I know that I am lucky to have someone like him, I just wish he would realize that I want the big fancy wedding and reception!! LOL I just do and I think after 9 years that we deserve it!!

Tell him your ready to do it.. Its been a long time and this is one way he can show you how much he really does love you.
tell him how important this is to you and being his wife means the world to you.
if he doesnt want to maybe you should scare him a little and tell him he has between now and so long to make you his wife or you will need to find someone who does love you enough to be your husband.. its not fair to you.
