What is the hardest lesson life has taught you so far? And what did you learn?

I think that hardest lesson for me was I am alot stronger then I thought I was. I had a hard childhood and never thought I would live past 17. 18 years later, I am a strong woman with no self doubt, amazing children, and a good man.

The hardest lesson that i have learnt in life is that we should not trust anyone.I had been around with a guy for around 2 years. But later i realized that he was just fooling around.

i know it is hard when someone betrays your trust. but you can not have a relationship without trust. you can also not blame others for the faults of one

The hardest lesson that i learnt in my life that i got punished for crime which i didn't commited and i also learnt never ever to believe blindly on anybody or reveal myself completely to anybody. This is the lesson life taught me.I did survive from that crime and i am ok now though their are many difficulties but i will overcome it.

i think for me the hardest lesson not really a lesson but most life changing experience was being in the marines. That taught me alot of by myself, the things i done and accomplished amazes me today that i went through four year of it. i love the marines also.

i have learned that no one is going to look out for you, you have to learn to take care of yourself and not be dependent on others. I was so dependent on my husband for emitional support that when he left I felt that i was a no body, i mean i knew i could manage on myself finaincially because he wasn't working but emitionally and personally i didn't know how to be myself without him.

That nothing comes easy. For some people things just seem to be constantly handed to them. I have realized that I just have to work a lot harder to accomplish my goals. But this hasn't caused me to dispair because I think I have learned how to appreciate little victories. And that cushions me and keeps me going until that next success...SS

I have learned many lessons in my 55 years, but perhaps the most important is: be careful who you trust. I trusted people I should not have trusted nearly 20 years ago, and it resulted in problems in my life that were nearly indescribably difficult. Get to know and understand people before you trust them too much; and be prepared for an occasional betrayal by somebody you believe to be trustworthy. More recently, for example, I hired a VP/Marketing for a company I founded, and I trusted him with the business, I was incredibly generous and honest with him, and he betrayed me and tried to steal from me in a really horrific manner. He even used money that was fraudulently taken from one of my company's competitors to defend himself in court when we tried to stop his foul and dishonest attempt to steal from us. Luckily, karma came into play, and in this case, it seems that good has triumphed over evil...

I learned that nothing in life is for sure or everlasting.. When I became the first time a mum, I thought I would always stay with the father of my babyboy.. Seven month later I ran away with 5 garbage bags full of clothes and stuff that belonged to me and my boy. One year later his dad killed himself.. How naïve I was at the time.. I learned to only trust on my guttfeeling.. in many ways, and not to take things for granted.
