Why do you lie? and How often do you lie?

Do you lie to spare someones feelings? Like if your boss asked you what time you came in & only you know; would you say you were on time...when you know you were still in traffic? Or would you tell the truth? What if your mom asks you "Did you take your vitamins?" Would you say yes because it makes it easier, otherwise you have to hear a lecture about getting your vitamins like you were back in 3rd grade.
Tell me.

I fell there is never a reason to lie. Not is my relationship anyway. I don't lie to spare feeling either but I can be truthful and tactful at the same time. I would rather stand up for what I believe in than lie down because I don't like conflict. In other word I won't lie and say I agree or I feel the same as someone else just to keep from argueing. What about you? do you lie?

Im afraid I still do. I rather tell Mom I took my vitamins.
