The illegal immigants "sucking up welfare"

I think you should check your facts a little more closely. Illegals still get welfare for the "legal" children they have. If you came here illegally but then have a child that child is now a citizen and entitled to benefits including welfare. My old boss used to pick veggies in CA when he was young he travelled the country from 18-20 working on the farms. I am sorry but I think it is a poor excuse to say Americans wouldn't do the job they did it for years and they will do it again.

I totally agree, these people aren't here to steal our jobs or corrupt our gov't. They're here to better there lives in a nation where dreams come true.

well honestly I know the prisons in california are full and they should make those guys and gals do it and we can charge them way less. We dont need any more illegals so make the prisoners do the grubby work.:) from a former califorian

First off, Americans can't afford to take these jobs that pay minimum wage or less, because they would be paying taxes on that money. Something the illegal are NOT doing. So they are making more to work those jobs than an American would. IMO that is friggin dirty. Companies that support that deserve to be boycotted. The prices of fruits or veggies have no bearing on who is picking those and what they are paid. Fat cats are going to charge what they want to support their life styles. Minimum wage hasn't gone up in years, but the cost of living has. What does that tell you. There is no excuse for illegals. Everyone of use are here in America because someone in our family bloodline, at one time or another, followed the rules and became a legal citizen. Unless they hunted buffalo and lived in Teepees anyway. Mexicans are no different and should follow the rules as well. If they want to live here and work here, they can become an American the same way all the other immigrants did.
