Gas or electric, what do you use for cooking?

cooking on electrc stove consumes more power and hence more money while a gas is cheaper and safer i feel....

Growing up with my parents we've always used gas, it's what you get used to but since I moved out, every place I've been in is electricity. Even mum has switched to electricity. Electric cookers are far cleaner, and far more convenient and although dearer to run, the pros outweigh the cons. Also its quicker to cook with electricity than gas.

I grew up with gas, and that is what I really enjoy using. However, I have electric now. It is not as good on the stove top, but better inside the oven than gas. Electric is very high and expensive too.

i use gas as i think it is cheaper.

I THINK ELECTRICITY IS THE BEST TO COOK FOOD AND THE CHEAPEST ONE.IT IS BEST DUE TO ITS EXISTENCE IN EVERYONE'S HOME AND RELIABLE TO USE.

Electric, but gas is good, quicker and cheaper

Gas we used for cooking today because the electric stove is very expensive.

We always used gas when I was growing up because my dad was employed by the gas company. I also insisted on using gas when I got married but after we moved into our second house there was no gas supply so I had to get used to the electricity. Now that I have gotten used to it, I find it much more efficient than gas and the bottoms of my pots are much easier to clean. I would never consider using gas again.

I use gas right now. I think electric would be a bit cheaper, but I could never get a hang of cooking on electric. I tend to burn more than I serve, LOL.

If I could choose I would have an electric oven and gas hobs .. I like the controllability of gas for use with saucepans .. instant heat and instant off .. but I've never found a gas oven that works as well as electric .. Then again I haven't had a cooker in my kitchen for about 10 years .. there is only myself to cook for and I reckon over the years I have amassed a gadget to cook practically anything you can name ..

We use gas for cooking.........

I used kerosene for cook I could not buy a gas nor electricity oven for cook. It is too expensive for me. But I think gas is more cheap than electricity, but more dangerous. You must becarefull to used gas it can explode anytime that you make mistake when you used it.
