I tend to name my cats after characters from books or movies. My currents 2 cats are named after characters in Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, and my previous cat was named from The Omen.

My sister give the name depends on its voice and She will add some words before it. For example, the cat's voice is 'puss' and She named the cat 'KEMpuss' LOL. I don't really like cat, so I will call cat by 'Puss' if the owner do not give name.

We have 2 cats named Scooby and Tiger. Most of our animals get named after cartoon characters, but when the cat had kittens, the kids named Tiger because of his looks. He looked like a little tiger.

I have not a rule. some times i choose a particular (color, or hair for example). some times i give a funny name, cause it's sounds great.

I think we can consider it from it's color the easiest way. If its color is black, we can call it black. If it's brown, we can call it brownie or something close from that. But often because of it's cuteness, we call it cutie, or maybe meong (if we consider it from its voice)

Well I dont decide that in one day, it usually takes a couple of days to find the cat a perfect name. I mainly decide it by what cat does, if he gets dirty all the time i would call him Dusty or smth. OK, this doesnt sound too good in english.

Hi there...so many people have many ways in how they go about choosing a name for their cat. Some are inspirational from stories, the cat's personalities, place time, something they love and admire, etc. Everyone has their own unique way to name a cat. Naming a cat is individual to the person who is owned by their cat. :-)
