i'd like to ask your thoughts on this.. because more and more people especially with no deformities resort to these to boost their esteem.. is this reasonble enough?

It's just a refelction on todays society and how much importance seems to be placed on how a person looks. My wife and I watch a reality show about plastic surgeons and are constantly amazed that the number of people (particulary younger women) that go in for surgery even though they look fine to us in every regard...talk about low self-esteem

I think that if something you can have a little "work" done to boost your self-esteem, then go for it. HOWEVER, draw the line somewhere. For some people it becomes a compulsion and they don't know when to stop.

well if y ou talk in terms of money that definitely it is a choice of individual and his or her financial limits. but if youo talk in terms of if it is ethical then i must say thing which do not harm other and help you to feel conficent or improved are always ethical and reasonable.

I have not known or read about anyone going for plastic sugery just to boost his esteem. People go for plastic surgey for various reasons apart from deformity treatement like ...to make themselves more beautiful...by adjusting the shape of nose, ways eyes are..even if they are perfectly alright.
