the video card you're suggesting is very old and it is not capable of handling any recent games or even games which was released 2-3 years ago.

hi.. i still reccomend gforce w/ intel chipsets.because intel chipsets can run smoothly compared to other chipsets. must buy at least 512m ddr or higher.

Just an advice, don't buy the best graphics card because it's not worth it even if price doesn't matter. The best video card would cost thousands of dollars. Just buy the video card that caters to your need. Also, you only need high end video card if you are into PC gaming. If it's for general use, any type of Nvidia FX series of card would do.

If you really want to buy the best then I guess that would be the Geforce 8800 from Nvidia, that's the latest one from them and it's optimized for Direct X 10 which is the one to be used in Vista Here's a link to an article about the video card. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2870 The price is also there, I suggest you buy it from Newegg which has the lowest price. Goodluck in your gaming.

What makes you say that it is user friendly? I don't see the sense in this.

what are you gonna do with your computer. if your using it for gaming purpose so i think you can pick either nvdia geforce 8800gt or ati radeon x1950. both of them have a great performance with graphics, but i think geforce is better.

I'll recommend u not to buy the best graphic card in the market. It's not worth it at all. Once you bought it, sure you will regret it after months. The price of the graphic card will drop in a rate faster than you could imagine. That's a lesson I've learn when I bought a GEforce 4 5200 around 5 years ago. I lose quite much money after the price dropped.

radeon 9600 - radeon 9600 video Card
Any ATI-based Video Cards are the best in market. Radeon ATI 9600 would be a good start

you dont need the best graphics card available to run vista or play any game, end of the day you could spend lots of money on a graphics card and then find out a week later it has dropped price by 25% this often happens plus the fact that if you buy the best one today them tomorrow there could be a better one, nobody can have the best in the computing world it dosent take long for something better to be made. MY ADVICE: guse search engines to look on the internet for reviews on graphics cards and read them then decide what one you want you dont need to spend lots of money on a graphics card for it to do what you want it to do thats just wasting money i hope you find what you want and good luck.

He wants to future-proof his computer so don't argue with him. If you're a gamer/power user, you'll definitely get a high-end PC to play graphic intensive games.

if price is not a matter than go for Geforce Quadro FX 4500.it is the best money can get.price will be around 70k.but gulps down Vista as if handling a windows 3.1 on a P4 PC

Well the best on the market right now is the NVidia GeForce 8800, but at their price, I highly doubt you will buy one. The most important thing is that you get one compatible with your motherboard. If you buy a PCI express card and your mobo has only AGP or normal PCI, you can't use it. I use an ATI Radeon X1600 Pro w/ 512MB memory, and I get great gaming performance even though it is an AGP card. Check compatibility, and buy something that isn't too expensive. Mine was a little over $100 and I'm highly satisfied.

any graphic cards will do, just choose a card which has a memory of 250 megabytes or higher. so that your computer won't need to share its memory. try also choosing a graphic card which has a tv out so that you could plug your computer to a television.

As of this writing, the most powerful cards in the market are the nVidia 8800 series. These are the most latest release of nVidia. If you can wait, ATI will produce a powerful card also comparable to the 8800 series soon, less than a month maybe.
