A good decision I think, they are given a chance now to improve their skills in the first class cricket so that the will be prepared for the world cup Good to see Ganguly back in the team and is Laxman in the team??

You r not right Niitesh, thats not at all a gud decision taken by the bcci, i know that Sehwag has not performed well in the S A test series but every one knows that he is a gud ODI player and can take the Indian team to success as he has already done so many times, and i dont think that now also he is performing bad in ODI, since he was the one who scored twice 90+ in ODI series vs WI , ya i accept think that the decision taken cud be fine if it wud have been taken for a test series but this is not at all a gud decision.

I really believe Irfan Pathan should be given more chances. He is also good batsman. I think he really can get couple of 20s and 30s at the late order of batting and can win the matches. He is right now in bad form in his balling. If he can make this up I really think he is a big asset to the Indian team

Sehwag yes he should have been axed. Pathan no he may not be bowlng exceptionally well but he sure is batting better than pure batsmen

i approve this decision. selection should be based on current form and not past records. ganguly has earned his place in the team. sehwag and pathan have got enough chances now. it was high time they got axed now.

Its good that Shewag has not been selected for WI series. But its bad to note that Pathan has not been selected. He was bowling well but these guys made him concentrate more on batting and as a result he was diverted. Also, its good to see ganguly back in India Team. He caries lots of experience with him and this would help India to win the series.

Definitely a good decision.U can only support the player for sometime after that the player has to come to his own. Now see what prolonged persistence before dropping did to dada. Now after being dropped he has worked his wayback, just like zaheer and yuvraj. Its only in their good ,they go back to basics.Thats when people of stronger material are born.

i think they have done absolutely right..i am very happy with this discussion ..sehwag should be kicked out like this only and should not be allowed to play in team.. :-)

The selectors have no alternative but to include Ganguly in the squad for the one day international, for the way he has played in the test series, followed by a 122 against Rajasthan, he deserved the place in the squad much earlier. Regarding exclusion of Pathan, I think Pathan is totally out of form, he needs to get back his confidence, and I'm sure he will do that. Exclusion of Sehwag, the VC of the team, is also justified. His contribution to the team has become bare minimum, and he does not seem to take a lession from what has happened with Pathan. After so many years finally we have seen that selection committee has taken few correct decisions.

Recent south african seriess is a clear indication of the low confidence levels of sehwag and pathan

I think it is a gud decision made by the selecters.. coz i think sehwag and pathan are not in form and they shuld be rested for sometime.. I think they should utilize this time is practacing so that they can be back in the worldcup

we have 8 game before wordcup so bringing in dada is correct but dropping sehwag and pathan is toomuch correct dicision in my personal point of view i think they must given a chance to get their form back. no problem atall because we have still 6 games and let sehwag and pathan to work in the nets and get back their rithim.

i think so it is good dicision to not include sehwag in team because from last long time he is not ply well. i think so pathan has to give some more chances
