Well with my first child - I was induced with Pitocin and was scheduled for an epidural - however they never got to me so I ended up having him naturally with all the pain. But my second child was definitely traumatic - as my placenta ruptured in the middle of the night at home so I woke up in a pool of blood - so hubby rushed me to the hospital and after arriving continued to lose more blood so as soon as my doctor arrived he told me that due to the extreme loss of blood that they would have to put me fully under - no chance of being awake for his birth - that it would be too dangerous for both of us. So they performed the emergency C-section and he was born more than 6 weeks early and had breathing problems so they had to heliflight him to another hospital in a much larger city. Because I was put fully under for the surgery - they woke me up so that I could see him before they took him away - only saw him for about 5 seconds before he was gone and I was stuck in the hospital for 4 more days recovering from my surgery - and could only get reports on him by phone from the other hospital. Then finally on my release date from the hospital was of course told that I was not supposed to drive for several weeks but what was I going to do with me near our home and our son in the NICU in another city so you bet I jumped in my car and drove down there every single day until he was ready to come home. I had serious issues with post partum depression after going through all of this for years afterwards.

Ok, I got preg. then found out that my husband acrued about 45k of credit card debt. I started to threaten to misscarry (lots of blood), then I developed Hyperemisis(don't think I spelled that right) I was sick so sick from puking that I was halucinating. My husband told me I was doing it on purpose, that I was in control of it all. Of course that made it worse. I was on 3 different medications before I found Zofran and that only worked about 50 better. At least I did not throw up 15x a day. I also had colits and a lot of diahria becuase of it. I had to take the medication until I was 5 months pregnant, and still I puked while on it and was pretty mad when the dr took me off of it; i was still feeling vary bad. Then I started to have some major ligament problems; every one said it was normal, but I knew this type of pain was not. I could not sleep from 5.5. month on becuase of it. Then I developed this horrible bleeding rash on my stomach at 7 months which did not leave until I gave birth. I also fell 2 x down the stairs and no one gave a flip. Then I developed preeclampsia (hubby says I did not, but dr says I did). But still he let the preg go for 2 WEEKS PAST THE DUE date. I was at 4 cen for 1.5 months and had thinned out quite a bit. Then come the birth. I told them I do not wan a epi right? Well I knew that when you are induced the pain is not natural (the dr even told me) and the nurse sd that I was going to even if she had to make me. I did not get that one until she kept increasing the pict to crazy levels; the doc came in 2 x times (each time very long periods apart) and yelled at her for making it too high. Sd something about blood pressure, baby problems and uterine rupture. I was po'd cause I knew what she was doing. The doc left and she increased it even higher (I even told my hubby and she lied to him, and I tried to get help from others but every one thought I was being a woos)any way by this time I was going through transistion, bt was have a contraction lasting over 10 min (it just kept going up with out a break). Doc came in got mad, got rid of her, sd that I will HAVE to be put on the epi (at this point I was hysterical with pain, but I could not talk) And had one. They put it too high and I had some breathing problems. Then they gave me anitbiotics I told them I was alergic to, and was startig to have alergic reaction, but they would not give me much until after I had the baby. well when I start to push I had only been pushing for about 10-15 min and the dr says that if I do not get this baby out in the next 5 min he will do c-section on me. Well i pushed the baby out, but had 3rd degree tears becuase of his poor care. The baby was not that big nor his head, and I was not small. Went to another doc and they even sd that. It took them 30 min to sew me up. Then I went into shock, but they did not seem to care about this at all.
