On MyLot - Do you judge people or give advice to them?

I posted a sensitive and personal discussion a while ago and some people were so rude and hurtful with their responses. Now nobody is perfect and I don't think people should be here to judge others but to help them and give advice when they can of course. What do you think? Are you here because you are judging if people are right/wrong, smart/stupid or are you here to honestly try to help then and give them good advice from your own experiences?

I have a mentality of "do what YOU think is right" I will not judge anybody, everyone is different and everyone has different ways of doing things. also there are different cultures, reliogions, morals, ethics so who has a say as to what is right or not? no need to judge anyone!

A good discussion Mayakup, which deserves an honest and detailed reply, so I'll see what I can do. :-) I am a Libran by birth, and as such, I don't judge people or take sides. I like to be fair and everything to be in harmony. I am also a Pagan, which I don't mind admitting, because I can... and as such, I believe that everybody has their own preference and their own beliefs, and as a builder of my own path, I don't have the right to interfere with those preferences and beliefs of others... rather, I respect them. If, however, somebody is extremely rude or aggitating towards me, I can give some back, and that has been known once or twice in here. lol. Therefore, my enjoyment of this site comes down to the fact that I think I have a fairly logical and open mind and can use that to help others. The money doesn't play a part in it, because it is minimal, even though it does reward you for putting in a good argument for or against any post. I only answer sensible and what I see as genuine posts, if I think I can be of help. I don't always agree, but I don't condemn people unless they overstep the mark and are offensive to others. So... I wish I'd seen your previous discussion, so that I could have looked at it from both sides and ascertained who had the biggest problem. I don't mind betting it was one of the rude people, such as I've seen constantly invading discussions just to aggitate. In fact, if you don't mind, I might just pop into your profile and read back on your discussions, so that I can, as is my general tendency, weigh it all up! Have a great day, Mayakup and brightest blessings to you. :-)

Thank you. I try my best to add detail to my responses. It makes them more understandable. This was a good discussion, which I could get my teeth into... well done, yourself! :-)

I try to give advice that may help. I don't like to hurt people. I believe in Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You. In other words, treat people the way you would want to be treated.

Yes I agree with this comment as well. What would be the point to judge ppl? I feel it is so wrong, why not help and give advice instead? And if you have no advice or nothing good to say then dont say anything at all! Is it worth it to post something mean and hurt ppl for a few cents?

I wish I had read your discussion. I will have to check it out. I don't like to see people judging others as no one has the right to judge. I think it is so wrong for someone to call somebody else stupid. That means somebody is just being rude and inconsiderate when they make remarks like that. We all differ in our opinions. That is what makes the world. If people would just give their opinions without being so judgemental, it would be great. You can always preface a remark with something like this is what I believe. Not just say you are wrong.
