Any funny experiences in your travels?

I was fetched by my contact in Singapore shortly after arrival at the airport. Upon reaching the car, I opened the driver's side door and started to get in and the driver waved his hand and said " it's ok sir, I'll do the driving" I didn't know that they drive on the left side of the road. In London, I stopped that classic black taxi and opened the front door which I normally do eveytime I call a taxi. The driver, surprised,( I read his mind saying What the hell!) pointed me to the backseat. I didn't know that they don't let passengers sit in the front. That's years back, maybe they've changed now. Any funny experience you can share?
