well i am a student of c language-------- C is a general-purpose, procedural, imperative computer programming language developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at the Bell Telephone Laboratories for use with the Unix operating system. It has since spread to many other operating systems, and is now one of the most widely used programming languages. C has also greatly influenced many other popular languages, especially C++, which was originally designed as an enhancement to C. It is the most commonly used programming language for writing system software, though it is also widely used for writing applications.

nice intro u've given to a programming language but still C++ is a much better language than C....C is the best language to write programs but when it comes to maintenance of that application/project/software u developed it's difficult to reuse it that's why C++ and Java were brought about aminly for the purpose of reusement of the code for maintanance purposes

Definetly you should learn C Language.Because it is the fundamental language and very power full language. If you want to work in EMBEDDED SYSTEMS you should work on on C only.It is the only language that interacts with hardware. So you should learn it.
