I overdid it at Christmas for my grandchildren and husband this year. So I'm in for about $1,000.00. I will make 3 big payments and then one more for the interest I shouldnt have used. Credit cards are a boon and then again a deterrent.

Right now I have $3000 of credit card debt. Two months back I brough it down to zero. But as the share prices in the share market went down I put all my money into shares and used the cards. When the share prices go up agin I will bring down this credit card debt.

I consider credit card debt to be the balance on the card after the current charges are deducted. I never carry a balance from one month to the next because of the high interest charges. So, the answer is that my credit card debt is 0.
I use a credit card, to accumulate air miles and for convenience. I like the fact that I can make one payment and have all my transactions in one place, but I do not treat a credit card as a source of short term funds.
