Ban on smoking?

Well slowly and gradually many countries are banning smoking in public places. Do you think it is justified? Please also mention whether you are a smoker or a non smoker. Thnx :)

I don't think the government should determine this. I think it should be up to the individual business owners as to whether or not they want to permit smoking or not. If they don't want smokering going on then that would be their choice the same as with allowing it. When the government starts taking away freedoms just because they deem it as "bad" for us it is too easy for them to do so with more and more things.

Yep Im a smoker and its banned here in New Zealand in Public Places.. It doesnt bother me.. I dont smoke in my house or my car.. I smoke well away from the Children anyway.. They bought the law out 2 years ago.. they should have bought it a LONG time ago really. I like it and so do our Non Smokers.

I am a non smoker and i think this ban should have been imposed a long time ago! what good does smoking does anyways? its known to cause lung cancer! not to mention other dieases that come with nicotin ingestion! I am all for it!
