I love cake and I love fruits but I dont like fruitcakes. I dont know why. I got a fruitcake one year from my friend's mother. I dont eat them so I took it to my other friends house next day and gave it to her mom.

My friend's mom got so excited when I took the cake to their house. Because she loved fruitcake. I was happy that I didnt have to throw the cake away.

yeah I eat some of it and then I give half of it to my mum for snacks etc as its too much for one whole fruitcake and it dries out too quickly.

so true. I have a friend who makes homemade fruitcake each year and I end up taking 1/2 to work. It is too heavy and filling to each before it is stale. Thanks for the reply.

FYI FOR TRAVELERS CARRYING FRUITCAKES: Fruitcakes have been banned on airplanes. Because they are difficult to identify using x-ray equipment at security checkpoints, they could exacerbate security delays created by recently increased security.
