If I change my computer my IP address will also change. Will I still get the credit? Can I have the same IP address? Has anyone changed computer while doing business at home? My computer is really old so I need to replace it as soon as possible.

You will still get credit. Changing of your IP's doesn't matter here. The important thing is you login using the same username and password.

Go ahead and replace your computer. It is no problem if you have a different IP address. I have been involved in other online earning programs and it is fine to change your IP as long as you don't suddenly show up as being from a different country or something than what you signed up as. Of course a site is going to see that as cheating. But you won't have that problem, so please don't worry about it! ^_^

If you're talking about mylot, it doesn't go by IP address. It goes by your username and password for your account. So changing your computer won't affect your mylot earnings.

I don't think there will be a problem there. A lot of people in my country will simply go to an internet cafe for their computer needs and get hold of any computer and so far, I have never heard of anyone complaining about not getting their credits for their job done. Personally, we have 3 computers at home and I use whatever catches my fancy, aside from availability. No problem so far. At this time though, we have decided to set aside the one which my children chose to discard and thus, we are now entertaining the idea of buying another unit to take its place. Actually, this is the first time that I have encountered anyone who has posed this problem. I will be asking my sons about this as soon as they are around.

My sons told me that you can maintain your ip address by having a technician do it for you. They know how to do it but, I don't believe that you will get the whole idea if I'd just jot it down here. The cables and switches that you are using now will have to be retained and then the ip address can be configured to be the same as that of your old computer's.

with regards to your IP it depends upon your Service Provider, if you have a static IP add then even if you change computers your IP add will not change however if you have dynamic then it will change everytime you restart or turn off/on you DSL/Cable Router

I have always thought that the ip address is permanent per computer unit. This is the first time I have heard that there is a dynamic type wherein the ip address changes everytime we will turn off then on again the cable router. Of course, we normally do that everytime before we go to bed each night.

I think as long as you use the same screen name under mylot. It should stay the same. I used my friends computer awhile back upstairs and I get under mylot with no problem and my points remained the same as soon as I got my new computer from Dell everything stayed the same. I hope this helps you.
