have you checked her for any learning disabilities? I only ask because both my daughters knew their colors before they turned 3.. is she okay aside from learning colors? Maybe she is color blind??

I would check for color blindness. My son is color blind.

She has no other learning problems at all. As a matter of fact she is kinda ahead an most things. She was saying her abc at 2yr old. She just tells me that she can't remember and we have always put blue with the sky yellow like a banana and green like grass. Now this morning she got black orange and green right. so I guess she will get it! I knew she should've caught it sooner and I was worried.

maybe she just isn't ready..if you think there is something deeper..a learning disability..write a ltter to your local elemnetary school requesting a educational evaluation. They are required to sevrve children starting at age 3 if they have special needs. But do keep in mind..some children are late bloomers and it could be prefectly normal for her to not be ready to learn.

constantly work with her on everything, anything she's interested, ask her what color it is, if she says i don't know-tell her to guess. do it with food, clothes, etc...thats how we did it...and have NO prob!

Have her name her favorite things with colors-like blue kitty, or red blocks ect. Maybe she will catch on. Good luck. I was going to say she may be color blind too.
