Why is mistrust growing in the personal and family relationships?

I mean there are so many cases of mistrust,betryal, quarrels amond family members without any reason, the main reason being ego. Can anyone suggest how these problems cound be avoided or minimised at the maximum possible.

People tend to move farther and farther from reality to illussions and fantasies. Love (infatuations) sometimes lead to weird feeling and unrealistic dreams. Sometime, people start to live in utopia even in the face of reality. As soon as they are back to their normal senses, they beging to see things differently and blame their stars. If we will all try to live our normal self, we would all be happy being together.

These things are often outside matrimony and with children so it is causing all kinds of problems

because we are accepting more things that are outside the societal norms and our families dont.
