I read that they have fluid of some sort not blood and it does not have the haemoglobin that our blood had and that is why it is not red. Anyone else heard this?

As is rightly pointed out by my fried, cockroaches dont have haemoglobin which imparts red colour to our blood. so their blood is colourless.

Cockroach blood has no haemoglobin that makes mammalian blood red. This is the case with most insects too.
