What do you use to inspire you to write a story/poem/novel/journal entry? Is it sometimes a fleeting thought? Or something you see in the room you are in? Or do you have anything "interesting" that you do to be inspired to write something?Just curious how other writers get inspired. Usually I always find inspiration to write late at night JUST when I'm getting into bed. It's a pain because I'm so tired but I suddenly want to write so I usually stay up to do so:)

My muse also like to strike at bedtime. Then my thoughts race and race until I get up and put them down. As for where my inspiration to write comes from, I feel that is it a deep seeded, inner process. I say my inspiration comes from life; it does for the most part, but it also comes from an otherworldly phenominon. It's a passion and a curse at the same time. It is love and hate. I don't know if this makes sense or not, but it how I feel.
