how orkut become this much popular? are you in orkut?

the community orkut is growing very quickly. what is the think that make this community popular. this is a free community of trusted friends. but if any friend cheat some others friend which he never met. i mean that the pictures in the orkut community is freely downloadable. the bad minds can copy these pics and can be used in bad sites with some other body parts. they can morph the photos, so photo sending is not good for orkut.

the orkut is fun place for many youngsters. if u have distructive mind, such communities are present. if any one need educational knowledge, there is a specific community for that.

Yes I have account in orkut.It is a good site to keep in touch with friends but at the same time it has defects like anyone can copy ur photo as mentioned by you.On of my girlfriend found out that someone created a fake profile with her photo.I even heard of an airhostess filing a case against orkut for similar reason which came in the newspaper.Moreover this site does not share its income with users unlike mylot.

Ya i think most of the people found it interesting and they invited their friends and the chain went on and on and it still goes on and orkut got popular.. So lets hope more people join orkut and make it a successfull site. Its really a gud site and i too have an orkut account!!

I think it could be coz of the growing youngsters who are into this community and also would like to say that though it is for trusted friends there are also some people who are making use for it for something else.
