A woman in Fort Payne, Alabama had hung some of her undergarments outside to dry when several items of clothing, including four pairs of underwear and some bras, were stolen from her line. Joseph Edward Reaves, 44, has admitted to the crime and has since been arrested and then relased on a $500 dollar bond. Reaves admitted that he has a problem, and also bought four bras and some pairs of underwear to replace the stolen items. He wrapped the new undergarments in Christmas wrapping, and then sent the package to the woman who's items he had previously stolen. Reaves has been arrested for similar offenses in the past. Is nothing sacred anymore?? I always hang my wash out in the summer so the clothes get that exhilarating fresh smell. This kind of creeps me out!!! I don't even know if I would want to accept the gift or new undies from a guy like that. Yuck. Gives me the NO feeling.

Ok, I'll never understand anyone wanting used underware and bras ... but don't you think it's equally creepy that he bought the woman new underwear and bras. Meaning he memorized her size and to wrap it in Christmas paper, kind of makes it an even more intimate present. This man is sick and needs help.

At first I though maybe he was sweet on the woman, but it seems he was sweet only on her undies. At least he had a concience about relplacing what he had stolen. That is more than many people would do. Was the woman possibly guilty of indecent exposure?

I have seen a story like this on the tv a while back. A woman had noticed that her under garments were missing and put a video camera in her room. Well, it turns out it was her the mantinence person at the apartment had been stealing them. These people really need some help. Who knows it could move onto something more serious in the future.

It really make you wonder, WHY? I mean they were hanging out to dry and clean...If that's the case why not go buy some of your own?? I don't understand why people do that. It's real sick....But glad she got her stuff back New at that and his behind got locked up...

yea this is really creepy. I don't think I would want the underware back. I mean they could burn it for all I cared. Who knows what this guy did with it before he got caught. I also think that buying new ones is creepy too. I understnad that in normal situations that would seem like a nice gift, but in this situation it is just weird. If he is messed up enough to steal underware then I shudder to think about what he would be doing while thinking of me in the underware that he bouhgt. Gross. He definately needs some serious help. I sure wouldn't hang my underware from my line anymore.

That's just weird. It also makes me wonder what he did with the old ones that made the need for him to buy her new ones, instead of giving her back what he took. This makes me thankful that I don't hang my stuff outside to dry.

Funny story! A little bit exaggerated, in my opinion, but it`s funny!

In Australia it's a regular occurence and it's called snowdropping. Some people take the opportunity to add to their wardrobes by stealing washing hanging out to dry but others (males) steal women's underwear. It's a bit hard to understand the psychological connotations. I once had my two best (most expensive and practically)new bras pinched. But I reckon the brats who were living next door to me nicked them for their mum who was built similarly to me but older.
