Is possessiveness sign of love?

possesiveness does mean love and is very common in relationships. Sure no one would want that if you are talking to the one u love, somebody else there is capable of diverting attention of ur partner

possessiveness is not love. That is insecurity. Later on in the relationship it will cause problems.

I agree with you possessiveness is never love.It reflects the mistrust and insecurity of the person. I believe in if you love someone set it free if its yours it will come back to you if it does not it was never yours.

I think possessiveness is a sign of love. But the only negative thing about it is that it is selfish love. A person loves something & is possessive about it but does not care about others. That's what make you feel uncomfortable.

love is about allowing them to be free, not about boundings.If someone wants to change his/her partner n then love thats not fair.in love u be a bit possessive,but if someone is being dam possessive thats means he is insecure and his trust on his/her partner is not thats strong.

Even I am very much possessive about my husband and I think its not insecurity but love that makes me more possessive about him. If love will be there possessiveness must be there.

actually, for me,both of you are right. if i am being possessive, it means that i love my partner and that i am afraid that he someone or something might get his attention away from me. however, if i become over or too possessive, it would become unhealthy and it would mean that i suspect everything my partner does which means that i dont trust him. so just make sure that you have a good balance of being possessive or jealous to maintain a healthy relationship.
