I use torrent. but i didn't understnad your question! torrent is a software which use peer to peer (P2P) file distribution protocol. This torrent (mainly known as BitTorrent) is maintained by BitTorrent Inc. so the point is peer to peer and torrent are not two different things. Bittorrent is designed to distribute large amount of data widely without incurring the corresponding consumption in costly server and bandwidth resources. The important part of peer to peer network is that all connected clients provide resources, including bandwidth, storage space and computing power. all it help to incease the robustness of the network, if one peer failed, there is no probability of lossing data, the data can be supplied from another node. So i use peer to peer file sharing protocl and my torrent (BitTorrent) helps me to establish the network for me.

limeeire and torrent both are based on peer to peer (p2p) file sharing protocol. but torrent is more secure than limewire i guess.

I use limewire. I use to use bit torrent, but I got my cable connection banned after the third download. Limewire is more legal and I have never lost my connection. I think it is because limewire is not in the US and therefore the US can not control it, but the bit torrent sites are in the US and they monitored.

Torrent uses same tech as P2P yaar. Whats different from these are file sharing sites such as rapidshare, megaupload, file factory, oxedion etc. The only problem is that u can't search for files within these sites. Catalogue sites such as rapidshared.org, sizwarez.org etc. are there to help u find these files. I think normal file sharing sites are safer and faster. They are downloaded like any other file from the main server itself.

I like the torrent downloads. Reason: I think its safe and a bit fast if seeders available. Downloads: I most download the Anime (Cartoons) from it & i had got many of my favorite shows from it. A demerit of it that some users just download it & do not seed back which makes torrents miserable. In my view torrents are the best.
