I used to have all my books neatly on a bookshelf, then I needed another bookshelf, then another and another. Now my hubby says too much. He put some away, the ones less used. Made me so mad. I like having my own library. Books are the best. What do you think?

You hit it there for me!!! I love books!!! I have books all over the place. There is a buuilt in book shelf in the den that is the length of the entire wall but a cut out for a tv on a stand. ha ha The shelves are lined with books! I also have two large book shelves with glass doors that I have stenciled moons and stars on that are filled with books. There are two more open book cases that are filled and one of them is filled with the books for the younger children. Then if you come upstairs, there are more books. Currently, there is a stack of 6 books on my craft table that are waiting for me to read then. Then there are another 6 books from the library sitting on the hope chest that I am reading. OK...3 or them are cookbooks, but that is because I need low carb/diabetic recipes. I got sick of eggs, cheese, and bacon. LOL There are 4 more books downstairs from the library for the younger children. And when I went to the library looking for a book my daughter wanted to read this weekend, they had it put aside because the dustcover had mildew on it. So they took it out of their system and gave it to me!!! :) Would you believe she is already done with it? She must have really liked it because she complains that she is not a fast reader. But if she really likes it, she doesn't put it down until she is done. :) OH! And there are books still in totes packed away because I don't really use those. They were given to me by my grandma and most religious. And I am a diffrent religion than my grandma. LOL So, see, I getcha! I love books!!! I am surrounded with books and still strive to get more books!!!

Have your own library is really nice to have. I'm sorry your hubby did that. We don't have the room for shelfs, so I have them stored in plastic containers stacked up in the closet by author.

I have mine in a bookcase, the floor, and also in drawers. I buy more books than I am actually going to be able to read realistically. I need to go through them and decide what subjects I'm really not interested in any longer.

I am a translator of the Word of God from Greek to English and I have many books as references including more than 10 versions of the Holy Bible. I just place them in a sort of bookshelf as I have no money to buy a better place for them. Books are really the best. As a translator and author, I have already published THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), GENESIS & EXODUS (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and some others, which are all publish and found at http://www.lulu.com/arseniajoaquin The Holy Bible is the best source or wisdom and knowledge. I hope you could include some of my books in your reading.

So many people, if they read at all, don't understand why you would want to keep a book to read it again. My books are stacked in front of the bookshelves, on the floor by my chair, on the nightstand, etc. Periodically I sort some out to take to the used book place to sell, but always come out with more than I took in. If only I had about six hours a day to read, then I could start to make some headway!

Yes I was the same way till all the books started to overtake my house. So I sold them on Ebay. Give it a shot. A little more extra money.

I don't have the room to keep the books I have read out. So any books that I read and want to keep (which are most of them) go outside in the shed in a box. Otherwise any book I haven't read stays on the bookshelf in our bedroom.
