Sunday morning, my husband and I noticed a transaction in our bank account through our online banking account. It was almost $90 worth of Itunes..and seeing as how neither of us recall making this purchase..nor do we even own Ipods, we were alarmed to see that there had obviously been a mistake. The purchase was even made through paypal! We called paypal immediately to report it, and we were told that it was purchased through my debit card number, and that they would investigate it and refund our money. We were also told to call the bank ASAP and cancel those cards. Once we got that taken care of, we felt like everything was going to be ok. Apparently this person is taking advantage of the fact that it is a holiday weekend, and the bank won't be open until tomorrow because he/she has now spent over $300 total using my debit card, causing us to overdraft. Besides just chilling out and waiting for the bank to open tomorrow to take care of it, is there anything else we should do?? Hopefully this person's purchased items will not be sent to him/her since he/she did not pay for the items...plus the items weren't paid for AT ALL considering the last 2 purchases caused us to overdraft. Anything we can do but wait until the bank opens?

Thanks so much, for some reason, we didn't even think about that. We assumed that since it was a holiday, we wouldn't be able to handle it until tomorrow. I called the number and got my card cancelled...so hopefully the person who has the number will not be able to use it any longer...I suppose we'll try to take care of getting those charges removed tomorrow. Thanks again!

I agree with the other commentator. Contact your financial institutions customer service dept immediately and let them know what happened. Good luck and please do let us know how it turns out.
