Drink lots of liquids, lemon water is great as is cranberry juice. If you drink alot it will really help but those trips to the bathroom are no fun in the later months. Good luck

I agree with the other responders - you need to drink lots of water. But most importantly drink cranberry juice. I agree if you can go to the health food store and purchase the best juice 100% (if you can stand it) then you should try to buy that type. Also, at the health food store they have cranberry juice pills that you can use if you don't like to drink the juice. I have suffered for years during pregnancy as well as when I wasn't pregnant. What I found that really helps me is to make sure that as soon as you have to use the bathroom go don't hold it. I use Kyolic Garlic, drink water and always drink cranberry juice daily. The Kyolic Garlic is a organic garlic that is found at health food store. (all of that really has helped me)

thanks for all the tips! I guess I just normally get "ocean Spray or something - lol. I'll have to see the cranberry "content" of it as I am pretty sure I am headed to the grocery store tomorrow.

Drink lots of fluid, especially cranberry juice (if you can stand the 100% juice that is the best for you). The best thing to do is get yourself a drink and every time you get up to use the restroom, make sure you get another drink. This will keep you in taking fluids all day and will help pass the infection. Also when you get the RX make sure you ask about yeast infection medicines, some are not good for pregnant women and they may be able to give you the pill for the infection.

when one is pregnant and is suffering from disease or uncomforts, she should go and see her doctor for advice. it's safer that way. as of now, try to drink lots of water a day. and if you can have coconut water, that's better.

hiya, sorry I wasn't more clear. I've already been, and on the medication. I was just more wondering if there's anything else I could do to help my body otherwise. :)

I am expecting my third child in May. During my first pregnancy, I picked up what they call Urinary Tract Infection, which is essentially a fungal infection.(Yeast)and it was horrid. I swear by Blackcurrant juice and ginger tea. To make ginger tea: 200 gms of ginger, lightly pounded in a mortar. (if you do not have a mortar and pestle, just use the haft of a knife and lightly pound the ginger on the kitchen counter or you can thinly slice the ginger) 1.2 litres of water, bring to boil. Add ginger and let it boil for 5-7 minutes. Cover the pan and let it cool. Strain the tea. This should be adequate for a day's dose, mixed with either 100% Blackcurrant, Cranberry or Lemon juice depending on availability. Regardless of medication, your condition should clear up in about three days. (this is not intended to be a substitute for Medical Advice but complements it). Cheers & hope the infection clears up soon.

I had this problem all the time through all of my pregnancies. I know it has already been said, but the best thing you can do is to drink cranberry juice and to empty the bladder at the first urge. The longer you wait to use the bathroom, the more likely you are to get an infection. Make sure it is pure cranberry juice and not just cranberry drink because that won't help nearly as much.
