I have heard about it for a long time...but never actually went out to get the supplies. But from what I understand, it's basically lemonade with cayenne pepper in it (basically...I do know the ingredients). I heard she lost 20 lbs. in 10 days because she only drank the Master Cleanse and ate salads. Any experience with this? I.C. Jackson

No experience, but I heard the same thing. She said it was very difficult. That is a huge weight loss in a short period of time.

It seems like a really big sacrifice to do it the way she did. I heard that it still helps to just drink it along with a reduced calorie diet. That's what I plan on doing...but I might fast for a few days, too. I.C. Jackson

I've heard it's fresh lemon juice with cayenne pepper and maple syrup. No solid foods either, so no salads. It's not meant to be an actual weight loss diet, it's a detox diet. You gain the weight you lost just as fast again once you stop the diet. You can lose weight in much nicer and safer ways.

I have not tried Master Cleanse. It needs a lot of self-discipline which a compulsive eater like me dont have.

I have done the master cleanse but not to lose weight. If done properly, it's designed to cleanse your system of impurities and not to lose weight. If you're interested in a quick, safe weight loss, I would recommend Medifast rather than fasting. Medifast's website is www.medifast1.com if you want to read about it.
