D o you think people are feeling scrutinized about their postings? Are you afraid to start a new topic?

Somewhat, a few might be feeling that way. I find it easier to post to topics then start new ones. Only a certain number of new topics ever get attention. If someone criticizes my posts, it doesn't bother me. I cannot worry about trying to control another's opinions. The only opinion that counts is the one I have of myself. That is true for all, how we think of ourselves is most important.

I really like the wide topic range, that is what keeps it interesting. I know I am older so it surely wont be the first time that I was critiqued.

No, I really don't care if someone is offended or upset with something I write, as long as it is written respectfully! The only time I get upset anymore is when someone doesn't answer the question that I asked, which shows they didn't read my post!

That is true. You have made a good point and we do have to watch that. I am also trying to be the best I can at answering posters.

No not really afraid to start new topics but I'm just disappointed with how few answers I receive to the discussions i start and consider as good, sometimes i have good ideas to start discussions but tells myself what the point if no one is interested, people just want to post to easy and silly discussions and good members don't arrive to my discussions because they are never visible in "top discussions", somehow i enjoy it more replying to other members discussions than posting mine and I'm not afraid to post my real views even if it will make the discussions owner gives me a - if I'm criticizing or opposing him/her.

I realy like posting to the no response postings. That has gotten to be something I do , so many every day.If a topic is good and i CAN CONTRIBUTE TO IT, THEN I WILL TRY.

So far, no, I haven't felt too intimidated. Maybe I have just been lucky not to have posted anything too controversial. I am a really sensitive person and my feelings get hurt very easily, though. Therefore, if someone had gotten after me for posting something, it probably would have stopped me by now. I really can't even bear the thought of someone being really critical of what I posted like that.

I just wish I could post faster to the people who answer me because I have to do it after my work. Sometimes I just get too sleepy before I can finish.

I wasn't. That was until my score reached 100 posts and I saw how low my rating is. Now I'll admit that I am a bit discouraged.

it will come up. I just wondered if everone was comfortable posting any topic ideas that they had. Keep your chin up and stay positive.
