No but it could be a sign of Sleep Apnea. You're uncle should have a sleep study done to make sure he does not suffer from this. Often dismissed as bad snoring, sleep apnea is far more serious: sufferers actually quit breathing for 10 to 30 seconds at a time as their throat muscles temporarily collapse. They jerk awake to gasp in air more than 10 times an hour, exhausted each morning because their brains never got enough deep sleep. Call your regular physician and ask about getting a sleep study done.

Let's just hope it doesn't get to that.

Oh my! Hope it could not lead in to that. My uncle often sleeps alone. So if he encounters any difficult in breathing no one will awakes him.Thank you for your advice... We'll work on that soon my uncle finds time off from work. I'm really concern... Once I heard him snored and I found it so loud.

Do not worry dear. It is nothing usually that bad. If a person sleeps on their back, it can happen, or a problem with their noses, nothing serious. If you really are still concerned, tell him to check with a doctor.

Go to your MD and tell them this. Snoring is not normal. It is just the sonud of air trying to get through your airway. That is why it makes such a funny noise. You have an obstruction some where. A sleep study would be a wise decision to determine ig you have Sleep apnea. It can lead to memory loss and high blood pressure if not treated in a timely manner.
