How far will you go for a friend? Lending money or acts of kindness? For me, it's really doing things for the person..

If he is a close friend, I would have known his family problems too. If he needs money, I do not hesitate giving him whatever possible for me. I also would like to help him in whatever form of help he needs. Throughout my life, friends have helped me a lot.

I am a staunch follower of saying: THERE IS GREATER PLEASURE IN GIVING AND TAKING Secondly some eldersly person quoted from VEDAS (our sacred books), more you give more you get. I do not give to get more. More you get, more the headache is my saying.

as long as for the better. lending money isn't really the basis. when things goin wrong to a close friend, its not really doing all the work for her/him. talk to him for good things to do. guide her/him which is better to do.

my dear never mix business with kindness both can't and will never go hand in hand, so when it comes to lending money to a friend dude i must tell you once i give that sum of money out i as well take it that the money ain't coming back. because the chances of money lend to a friend coming back to you is barely 10% lol

Thanks for the advice.. i do agree that when money is lent out to a friend, there is a high chance that it will not be recovered.. that's why if i ever lend money, i will definitely have that expectation that i'm blessing this friend and that the money will probably be gone for good =)

Not to the extent of lending money or anything. This will preserve the friendship. You can help him physically but not monetarily. This could break friendship or atleast hatred will develop

Yeah, i do agree that monetary issues can spoil the friendship.. i guess a lot of things have to be done with discretion =)

If a good friend of mine needs money I would help them out as much as I could. I would do anything for my friends

GREAT question. I'm not sure how to answer. I suppose in any moment it is different. I believe we should give our friend the shirt off our back if they ask for it (and if we have another one for ourself). I believe we should not be a doormat, and simply enable a weak friend who is literally sucking life force from us when they are perfectly capable of helping themself. However, everyone needs support and love and encouragement beyond what they can dredge up for themselves at different parts of their lives. Kindness and generosity with boundaries, is my motto. Always give. But as they say in the airline industry, "Put your own oxygen mask on first." If you don't, you may have nothing at all to give anyone else.

friends are so hard to find I can go zillions of miles, outta the blues for a friend and yes that depends ! Return something to someone with whom you can expect things from It isnt that if you give something , you should alwasy expect to get something But yes you cant even imagine just giving away
