Why Only Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Civil, Mechanical, and Chemical,Geodetic & Marine Engineering are the only engineering courses that need professional license. How about Computer/Software Engineers, Industrial Engineers? I'm just curios because a Computer Engineer here is not called "Engineer' by their peers because it has no license

Im asking the same questions too since im a computer engineer myself i would also like to have a license. But since there's no lincensure exam available for computer engineers in our country all we can do is prove to our peers that we deserve the diploma and degree we earned. Though not a licensed engineer we are still an engineer nevertheless.

Those who have no board exams are called instant engineers, they have thesis and case studies instead. They are still to be called engineers.

I am a computer engineer. Currently there groups that are asking to include computer engineering to also take professional exam or license. I dont know with Industrial engineering but technology is changing fast/exponentially. What's new technology today might be considered technology of the past after few months or a year. Technology is constantly changing compare to other courses like what you already said.

because unlike other engineers a job of a comp engr graduate can be done by an ece and a com tech.... while the works of the other engineering field cant be perform or cant be done by other profession such as mecahnical, eelectrical, chemical, marine, ece,
