I have skin asthma...Pls help me understand this health condition

I started with my new job barely 3 months ago and when I hit the floor, I started to have this cough that just wouldn't go away. Then, after several weeks of still having productive cough I noticed the rashes on the different parts of my body. The rashes are located in the folds of my hands, in between my fingers,legs and on my feet and are very itchy. I went to the doctor and he told me I have upper respiratory tract infection & skin asthma.I made researches abt it online but I still want to know if any of your family members have it or do you know anyone who has skin asthma. How was it treated? I've been absent from work for two days last week because of this. I want to find out more abt this health problem...Pls help.
