What would you have done if you were Zinedine Zidane?

We all know what happened during the final game of the worldcup. So, what would you have done if you were Zidane? I would do more damage to Materazzi than Zidane did, assuming of course that the allegations were true. I think I would've headbutted him and then bit his ear off, Tyson style.

Ahh, asking this to a French guy will never get you the best response. Yes, I'm French and I was very disappointed in the results of the World Cup. But nonetheless I won't talk about my opinions about the game. Italiansdidn'tdeservetowin.. :P I would have probably just flicked him off or yell an insult back. I'm not sure if that's a punishable offense in football/soccer but if I got a red card for it I'd get pretty ticked off. Zidane did go on a well known French channel to apologize for what he had done. Apparently he was crying in the changing rooms after he had done this. He said if he had to redo what he had done, he would. He has a really close relationship with all his family members. However, he did say that he didn't want to set an example for children or teenagers. So yeah, as I've said before I would've done a rude hand sign or insulted him. Many people don't realize it but it's the 108th minute of the World Cup Finals. You've been playing games and been through intense training for a couple months. You're worn down, sweaty and filled with cramps. A player on the enemy team decides to pull your shirt and throw about five insults at you. How would you react?

I am certainly sad that the Italians won. I mean, seriously..the Italians coulnd't tell which way was up the way they kept falling. We were rooting for France here too. But as said before, if I were Zidane and assuming that it's true what Materazzi did, I'd do what any honorable man would do. I'd bite his ear off!! LOL

well i would have ripped all his clothes apart and kicked & punched him black n blue, breaking all his 32 teeth.in football, whether you make a hard tackle from behind or kick a person, its a red card.so why not do the maximum damage before leaving the field??

I understand the emotion he must have felt when his Mother was being insulted. But he is a World class hero with a responsibility ot all the young fans of the game. I do not excuse his behaviour. On the football field, you have to struggle to win with skill and determination. There is no place for violence on the field. This matter should have been held off, untill they were off the field. Then the matter could be addressed, in the tunnel or the dressing room.

I think Zidane did a good choise when decided do do a headbut. Why? He could have hit whith fists but he tought, "maybe i will hit like a girl". He could done it whith feet but he tought, "maybe ill kill him". So he decided do go for a headbut.

well I would have asked the rest of the French Team to do the exact same thing as he did, and this until the end of the match. Allez les Bleus !
