Why do bad things happen to good people?

I have often wondered this myself. I consider myself a good person. I will bend over backwards for people but yet it always seems that bad things happen to me over and over. I keep remembering that saying..."Good things come to those who wait". I have waited for a long time and I am still waiting.

It is simply not true. Bad things happen to everyone, good and bad. That you are not sympathetic to , or may not even know any "bad" people means you do not feel for them when bad stuff happens. Take comfort, bad folks do get hard knocks, it just seems at times so unfair when folks we know and care about get the short straw in life.

That is why I try to be nasty as much as I can be and nice too. That way you have a 50/50 chance of things going well for you. LOL.

I yhink this too. I consider myself a good person,but i think that it is our attitude or our deeds that make ourself good or bad By the way, i think that it is not necessary that bad things happen to us always but we can make anything good or bad ourself it depends on how we take it.it depends a little on faith too

Hey i've asked this question to myself hundred times. I've told my friends that too.. i've seen terrible stuff - heartbreaks that almost take a life.

Bad things happen to all people not just good people. It is a fact of life that something bad will happen to good and bad people!

probably to remind us that we are good because the bad things hurt so much. Bad people seem to sail through life, maybe they just don't care. I was once told that the bad things happen because the devil is testing our faith but as I have none left you'd think he'd realise and leave me alone, lol

I wish I knew. Bad things always happen to us. We start making some head way and boom another thing happens to us. I just wish something nice would happen like winning the lottery. That way I could help out a few people that have bad things happen to them to.

bad things happend to good people because good people are tested if thry are realy good and will thy still control themselves or others.life is an exam and every one need to go know it.

First we have to know first what is good and bad things for us to realize things in our lives. Second what is the qualification being a good or a bad person. Right? God is a God of reason, if we are good people, there are things called "blessing in disguise."

Most "bad things", are lessons that we need to learn. so when other "bad things" happen we know how to handle them. It also comes from your personal dialog. what you think and feel about yourself and the world is what the world gives you. the "bad things" are lesson to teach you to not only handle things differently, but think differenlty. hard lesson yes, but very important ones

I, too is wondering about it. It feels like problem never ceases to appear from every other side. I mean, I see lots of people who are really bad and yet they're blessed, by whom? by satan maybe, I don't know.
