I have bought a few and had a great time with them ,you almost have to do all the work yourself to make any money. Its not like those tv shows Property Ladder and others . Are you wanting to buy a fixer upper to live in or for reale?

I don't have any plans, but my best friend sister and her husband bought a fixer upper, and man it took a number of months but I swear the finish product was awesome. It amazes me how creative people can be now-a-days...They had a housewarming so everyone could see the finish product very impressive...All you need is someone who is creative...

A little know how and a lot of work and you can have your dream home for alot less then you might think...plus you will be proud of your accomplishment, just like they were

No. We had one and finally sold it last year and we're both relieved to be rid of it. It was exhausting and with the dodgy market here at the moment it because incredibly difficult to sell.

Sounds like you had a bad experience, with the market the way it was I am sure it was scary for you ,I am so glad you did sell it.Yes it can be alot of work but to me it was so rewarding to change the whole house and make it beautiful again.

I am sorry I would love to know what a fixer upper is we do not use this term in my country, it sounds like it is a home that you fix up but I am not sure sorry.

We were thinking of doing that this year but the prices of stuff just went thru the roof. I am afraid that the market will crash and we will be stuck with a money pit that still needs fixing. Wrong timing for here but you never know what the future will bring our way.

Thats what has happened here the prices have gone outrageous. Used to buy a fixer upper for $30-40 now they are $80-100 too much money.
